General Commentary and Game Overview
This is my very, very first review for a fan game. So, I'll just go as G-rated as possible.
Super Mario and the Sacred Bells stars the plumbers and the princess in an all-new adventure (obviously...if you count the Mario fan games) where the sacred bells needed to be recovered from the Koopa Kids, ordered to guard them from Mario and friends' grasps, under the command of the chief nemesis Bowser, King of the Koopas.
Pros | -Health meter -Three player characters -Item Box from Super Mario World! -Classic Mario baddies! -Welcome back, Yoshi! |
Cons | -The lack of Control Configurations -Scratchy music |
Impressions
Gameplay | If you played a Mario game, then you'll pretty much know how it goes. If not, then like all video games until today: Get to the end of the level or defeat the boss without losing and avoiding obstacles. Easy? Unfortunately, no. But you'll have so much fun that this should've been the new Mario game for the Wii. You're given a set of four power ups, which you'll highly need in your adventure to saving the Sacred Bells. Of course that you'll have to find them and not expect one to fall on your lap. Throughout the whole game, you'll be replaying levels over and over again to get more lives to not lose the game. Levels, such as World 1-3, will cause you to fall into the void a lot. Also, not to mention the Koopa Kids with improved attack patterns, compared to the other Mario games they appeared in. Otherwise, the levels are possible to beat. |
Graphics | The player characters' graphics may look a little outdated, but the rest of the other graphics shown in the level, backgrounds, and much more ahead will distract you from this problem. You'll be seeing some tile sets and backgrounds from the under-rated Super Princess Peach game for the DS. |
Sound | A little scratchy with the music, but the rest of the other sounds can be the soft ocean to your ears. You can relive the classic sounds from the past Mario games, when Mario jumps on an enemy, hits a brick block, and much much more! |
Replay | Well, the only replay value that you'll be coming back here for is beating all of the levels. That's pretty much it, but again Sacred Bells is very flawless. |
Final Words
By no means a perfect and flawless game, but nonetheless, this is something Nintendo should have thought of. |

I have to disagree with some of the main points of this review. This game was NOT flawless. I've experienced several minor glitches, thus not making it flawless. And this should have been NSMB WII? I mean, I expect your opinion, but that seems very obsurd to me.

Seeing as this is your fisrt review, you did a pretty good job. Though, by your scoring system, it looks like the game Should have been a 9/10. A 10/10 is given to only perfect games and acording to your review it is not quite perfect.(Though this is your review, you could give 10/10 to everything and still say the game's worth a 5/10.) ANother thing. From what your review says this game should have been a 9/10, not a 10/10 which still isn't bad at all. To be honest Im against the scoring system in games because it means that a review will go unseen or unread for the most part. Im more for a buy, rent, or skip function or no scoring of any kind. eh oh well, what are ya gonna do? I will say this, you did a good job telling everyone what was good about thegame and what was bad. In the end , though, it's not about what i say, it's about YOUR opinion, and I think you drove your point across. Good job, keep up the work.

Well, I saw other game reviews that have a 9 on some sections and they were given a 10 still. Second, my exact score for Sacred Bells is a 9.5, so if you round it off, it's a 10. Thanks for telling a good job and keeping up the good work, but because of the amount of energy that came out of me when reading other people's opinions for my review of Sacred Bells, I'll just lay off of writing reviews here for a while until I got my spirit back.
