Star Wars: 8 Forgotten Game Characters That Would Do Great In Their Own Series (2024)

Star Wars is full of dangerous factions and countless beings struggling for survival in a galaxy ravaged by war. Some of the most incredible characters of the franchise debuted in video games, but only a few have made it to the big screen.

These characters are some of the most interesting and underrated individuals that have traveled all across the Galaxy. Though their respective games haven't gone unnoticed, they're definitely spin-off material. Warlords, Dark Jedi, Smugglers, and seemingly unknown Imperial commanders, all have stories worth telling.

Dark Prophetess and Master Spy

Star Wars: 8 Forgotten Game Characters That Would Do Great In Their Own Series (2)
  • Game Appearances:Star Wars Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight
  • Timeline: Legends (ABY)
  • Current Status: Deceased

Sariss was born as the illegitimate daughter of a cruel Dark Side cultist who condemned her to a life of torture and abuse. From a young age, she understood the power that inflicting pain could have on others. She walked the path of the Dark Side with a clear objective in mind: acquire power through deception and torturing the weak.

Sariss became a master infiltrator, acquiring a talent for disguise and masking her Dark Side alignment from other force users and Imperials. Second only to Palpatine in guile, she was responsible for corrupting Force users into Dark Jedi, and she drew the attention of Jerec, one of the Imperial Inquisitors. She would eventually meet her demise at the hands of Kyle Katarn, but her story is worth telling.

  • Game Appearances:Star Wars: The Old Republic (MMORPG)
  • Timeline: Legends (Old Republic BBY)
  • Current Status: Unknown

Watcher X is an altered human and a member of the secretive Imperial Intelligence in the ages of the Old Republic. He was a half-cyborg handler in charge of the Ciphers, the secret elite spies of the Empire. Little is known about Watcher X, but what is sporadically disclosed while SWTOR players clear the Cipher-9 main questline.

Star Wars: 6 Unique Lightsabers

The Jedi, Sith, and in-between, have all used some rather unconventional and unique lightsabers in Star Wars' galaxy far, far away.

It is later revealed that the Empire had used a neuro-programming drug on the spy, as well as every other member of the Imperial Intelligence, to control and spy on them. Watcher X discloses this information and reveals how players can get rid of the euro programming, then vanishes only to return in later expansions. Since he left the Imperial Secret Service, his whereabouts have been kept shrouded in secrecy. It would be nice to have a series to fill this gap.

6 Tavion Axmis

Suspected Of (Dathomirian) Witchcraft

Star Wars: 8 Forgotten Game Characters That Would Do Great In Their Own Series (5)
  • Game Appearances:
    • Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast
    • Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
  • Timeline: Legends (ABY)
  • Current Status: Deceased

Tavion Axmis is one of the most mysterious characters in any Star Wars games. Her origins are clouded by the lack of information, except for a few dialogue lines between Luke Skywalker and Kyle Katarn that might suggest that her home world is Dathomir. Many fans theorize that she was one of the Dathomir Night Sisters, who later defected to the Dark Jedi side and roamed the Galaxy searching for a master.

Eventually, she finds Desann, a chistori fallen Jedi member of Lord Hethir’s Reborn Empire initiative. Desann trained her in the Dark Side arts, and they later were hunted down by a vengeful Kyle Katarn, until Desann is defeated. She flees, but there’s a huge time gap between the events of Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. What was she doing until she re-surfaces and is ultimately defeated by Jaden Korr? No one knows, but maybe this is good, since she’s an interesting character for a spin-off series.

5 Greez Dritus

This Guy Has Some Wicked Stories To Tell

Star Wars: 8 Forgotten Game Characters That Would Do Great In Their Own Series (6)
  • Game Appearances:
    • Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
    • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
  • Timeline: Canon (BBY)
  • Current Status: Alive

Greez Dritus is the pilot of the Mantis and companion of Cal Kestis in Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor. He and Cere Junda formed a partnership way before Cal was included in the crew and the adventure started, so there’s a huge gap that was slowly but steadily filled by his colorful stories during his travels with Cal and Cere. Dritus is also one of the few openly vegetarian characters that have been seen in the franchise.

In Jedi: Survivor, players see that Greez has established a base of operations in the Outer Rim, on the planet Koboh. His past life as a gambler and smuggler has left him scarred, and many players wondered what other secrets this character hides in his cargo hold. It would be nice to have a spin-off to fill the vacuum before his encounter with Cal Kestis.

4 Visas Marr

Mystery Incarnate

Star Wars: 8 Forgotten Game Characters That Would Do Great In Their Own Series (8)
  • Game Appearances: Knights Of The Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords
  • Timeline: Legends (Old Republic BBY)
  • Current Status: Deceased

Visas Marr's past is enshrouded in a veil of murder, forced servitude, and Dark Side rituals. She was a Miralukan force user and Sith, who was encountered by the Exile Jedi Master Meetra Surik during the events in Knights of the Old Republic 2 and could be turned to the Light Side thanks to her influence.

Visas is one of the most eerie and well-written characters in the franchise. She bears an unusual foresight gift, as well as extreme Force sensitivity and mind-reading powers linked to her empathy. She was one of the first Miralukans to be depicted as a “Grey,” maintaining a quasi-perfect balance between the Dark Side and the Light. She would be an incredible character in a future KOTOR series, if that ever happens.

3 Admiral Natasi Daala

The Right Hand Of Tarkin

Star Wars: 8 Forgotten Game Characters That Would Do Great In Their Own Series (9)
  • Game Appearances:
    • Star Wars: Rebellion
    • Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds (mention)
  • Timeline: Legends (ABY)
  • Current Status: Alive

Natasi Daala was the first female Imperial Officer to reach the rank of Admiral. In an overly zealous and sexist environment such as the Empire, that is a tremendous feat. She's one of the smartest women in the galaxy, a master of espionage, and a fearsome fleet commander. As Moff Tarkin’s right hand, she proved herself countless times.

After the destruction of the Second Death Star, she kept order among the Imperial Remnant, saving countless lives. Throughout her career, Daala has become entangled with the worst of the Imperial command and come out unscathed and empowered after each encounter. Some even say she might be as skilled as Thrawn, and has twice his wits.

2 Canderous Ordo

A Mandalorian Legend, Savior Of His People

Star Wars: 8 Forgotten Game Characters That Would Do Great In Their Own Series (10)
  • Game Appearances:
    • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
    • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2
  • Timeline: Legends (Old Republic BBY)
  • Current Status: Deceased

Canderous Ordo has quite a background story. He is the youngest of the Ordo clan, a survivor of the battle of Malachor V, the first member of the Ordo clan to become Mandalore, and a close friend of Jango and Boba Fett’s ancestors. Of course, he was an ally of Revan (before he knew he was one of the most dangerous beings in the Galaxy) and the exiled Jedi Master Meetra Surik.

Canderous' journey during the era of the Old Republic is narrated in between Star Wars: KOTOR 1 and 2. As Darth Kreia predicted with her foresight, he became one of the first Mandalorians to restore the old traditions, gathering the clans as The Mandalore, saving his people from extinction and leading them into a prosperous future. The story about how Ordo restored Mandalore is spin-off material waiting to be grabbed by an enlightened producer.

1 Tyber Zann

Legendary Warlord And Criminal

Star Wars: 8 Forgotten Game Characters That Would Do Great In Their Own Series (11)
  • Games Appearances: Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
  • Timeline: Legends (ABY)
  • Current Status: Alive

The legendary Tyber Zann, the founder of the Zann Consortium, was a natural born of Annaxes located on the Perlemian Trade Route, a focal point of the Core Worlds. After being expelled from the Imperial Academy, he waged a personal war against the Empire, constantly outsmarting and forcing them to fight on two fronts.

He also took advantage of the Rebellion, sabotaging their efforts and controlling the conflict between Imperials and Rebels to earn huge profits and rise in power. He surrounded himself with powerful allies, such as the Dathomirian witch Silri, and the Talortai warrior Urai Fen. Zann is suspected of being Force-sensitive. He felt a mysterious connection with a Sith Holocron, and noticed that Fen was attuned to the Force. He has also shown great awareness and heightened senses, which he uses to overcome the most dangerous of situations. He is respected as a crime lord even by the powerful Jabba The Hutt.
